Collaborative Law / Mediation

These are court-free, non-adversarial ways of obtaining a divorce.  Both are processes where the people involved and their lawyers work together to find a peaceful solution to all of the particulars in a divorce, and can be much less expensive than court litigation. Collaborative law and Mediation are most effective when neither party has a mindset that they must “win” in the divorce and when both parties are honest and open.

I can help you find the best mediators, educate you on what you can and cannot do during the process and work with you to make sure that you are treated in a fair, just and respectful manner.  For this process to work you must freely share all information pertaining to the divorce including your assets and debts.  Your children’s welfare will come first.  We will figure out visitation, custody and support that will benefit your children the most.
